Capturing the spirit of Danish furniture design company Fritz Hansen, the new, Malling Publications-produced Republic is a departure from ordinary interior magazines. Answering the client’s call to communicate heritage and innovation, it’s a great designed, personal look at the furniture design that make the brand so unique. Our approach was to create something human – something that is reflected in the editorial content, photography and graphic design. Publisher: Malene Malling. Editor-in-chief: Frederik Bjerregaard. The men of Copenhagen see their city as a flawed utopia: a centre of freedom and creativity, a laidback and electric capital that – in the spring time – resist to be tamed. In the Spring/Summer campaign Day Birger et Mikkelsen we celebrate 10 men of Copenhagen. The campaign is devised by Anne Strandfelt and I to distinguish the brand, using simple aesthetics rather than more fashionable photography. Creative director: Anne Strandfelt and Frederik Bjerregaard. Art director: LA Graphic Design. Photography: Stefan Zschernitz. Styling: Frederik Andersen. Hair: Lasse Pedersen. Men: Lars Vognstrup, Nicolo Donato, Nicolai Achton, Mathias Sarsgaard, Jacob Guldager, Jan Brandi, Mads Jonassen, Kristoffer Blom, Christian Mardahl and Daniel Kragh-Jacobsen. For the launch of The Apartment – a place in Copenhagen where modern design meet an unparallelled craft of traditional furniture making, showcased in the setting of an handsomely restored apartment – art director Mads Quistgaard and I developed a brand identity and logo that would reflect the store’s passionate spirit. In addition, Nilas Andersen and I created the online platform for the place. Housing works from renowned designers and artists like Michael Anastassiades, McCollin Bryan and Martha Harmitage, The Apartment needed an elegant standalone identity as a fitting home to amazing work. Art director: Mads Quistgaard. Web design: Nilas Andersen. Photography: Stine Heilmann.

Mads Nørgaard is thrilled about all good design and craftsmanship, and the Danish owner and designer has since the start in 1986 been inspired by traditional work wear. This autumn Mads Nørgaard and Kansas collaborated on a jacket and waistcoat to underpin this fact. This week it was celebrated with a party at Mesteren and Lærlingen, Copenhagen. The campaign also included special made jackets for a hand picked list of local creatives. All this was done to strengthen Mads Nørgaard’s identity as a lifestyle brand.
